Lonavala and Kamshet are the practical railheads for Pawna Lake campsites.

Also, if you are coming from Pune, then find a cab outside Kamshet railway station. All Pawna lake campsites are 17 to 22 km from Lonavala and Kamshet.
What are the charges for a cab?
One cab will charge you around 1200-1500 INR one way. Also, while returning, you can call the same driver, or the coordinator can arrange a cab at the same cost.

A) Dudhiware khind route : Mumbai –> Lonavala (Kumar resort) –> Bhangarwadi –> Dudhiware khind –> Pawna lake : 105 km : Bad road
Dudhiware khind route is the shortest route from Mumbai but road condition is not good from Lonavala. There are no ghats on road but lots of twists and turns around Ambegaon along with puddles.
