What are public transports ?
A) Mumbai (by express train) –> Lonavala (by private cab) –> Pawna lake
B) Pune (by local train) –> Kamshet (by private cab) –> Pawna lake
Train frequency: 45 min approx
Once you reach Lonavala or Kamshet by railway, you need to hire a private cab from there. If you are coming from Mumbai, then find a cab outside Lonavala station. Also, if you are coming from Pune, then find a cab outside Kamshet railway station. All Pawna lake campsites are 17 to 22 km from Lonavala and Kamshet.
What are the charges for a cab?
One cab will charge you around 1200-1500 INR one way. Also, while returning, you can call the same driver, or the coordinator can arrange a cab at the same cost.

A) Dudhiware khind route : Mumbai –> Lonavala (Kumar resort) –> Bhangarwadi –> Dudhiware khind –> Pawna lake : 105 km : Bad road
Dudhiware khind route is the shortest route from Mumbai but road condition is not good from Lonavala. There are no ghats on road but lots of twists and turns around Ambegaon along with puddles.
B) Kamshet route : Mumbai –> Lonavala (Old Mumbai-Pune highway) –> Kamshet –> Pavananagar –> Pawna lake : 122 km : Average road
